105.7 The X

Check out my graphics for 105.7 The X on their website at 1057.com.  I've created the majority of the graphics used on the "featured story" banner and throughout the rest of the X website.

It's been alittle while...

I know, I know, it's been a while since I posted anything. Here are some Max McDoogle backgrounds. Enjoy.

Carlisle Band Keystone Program Cover.

This is the second program cover I've done for the Carlisle Band's annual Keystone Invitational Marching Band Competition. I did the cover last year, and I guess they liked it enough and asked me to do another one this year. Here it is. Keep checking back for more.

Isaac's Deli Commercial!

Here's the Isaac's Deli Commercial that I worked on this summer. Check it out, and then go sign up for the Isaac's Deli Flamingo Club at isaacsdeli.com.

Coloring and Activity Book.

Look out! Here comes the Educators. This is their very first coloring and activity book, with plenty of cool activities to keep anyone busy for awhile. This book is about to explode with 40 pages of coloring and other exciting adventures of the super-powered team, the Educators! For some reason the color is off on this picture. Everytime I put it on the web the color lightens up a lot. Oh well, you get the idea. Later.

Star Wars.

I did this quick drawing of Obi-Wan Kenobi down at the beach this year. My cousin Ryan helped me out with the coloring. It turned out pretty good. Thanks, Ryan, for your help! The other is a drawing I did of Han Solo and Chewbacca grabbing a drink after a long day of work. They look like they are having so much fun!

Maxwell McDoogle: Scottish Spy.

This is Maxwell McDoogle, a character I developed about a year ago. I'm currently working on a pitch for a action/adventure/comedy cartoon for the character. It's a cross between Get Smart, the Naked Gun films, Jonny Quest, and James Bond.

Frog and Turtle.

These three pieces are about two best friends that are a frog and turtle. Their names are Frog and Turtle. They are trying to escape the dreaded prison known as a pet shop and get to freedom! It's a nice little three piece illustration. Enjoy.

Red Eye w/ Greg Gutfeld, Late Night at 3AM on Fox News Channel.

UPDATE: I sent this illustration to the host, Greg Gutfeld, who liked it so much he asked if he could put it on the show! It was on the Fox News Channel on Thursday, June 28, and they even mentioned this web address, which was awesome!
One of my new favorite shows is Red Eye on Fox News Channel. It airs at 3AM, which works for me since I'm usually always up drawing. Red Eye covers many different topics including, news, entertainment, and gossip. The show is hosted by Greg Gutfeld, former editor of Stuff, Maxim UK, and other publications. The show has a round table of panelists and different guests on each show. Red Eye is a humorous take on different stories from through out the day. This is a piece I did with Greg Gutfeld riding a unicorn with Wilford Brimley. It would take too long to explain, so just put some coffee on and watch, Red Eye. You'll be glad you did!

Marv.

Here is a quick sketch I did of Marv from Sin City. I think it was originally for a Christmas gift. Just thought I would share it.

Ioz.

Wouldn't Ioz and the rest of the Pirates of Dark Water crew be amazing on the big screen? You know it!

Grimjack.

Grimjack was a character created, or partically created, by one of my college professors, Tim Truman. Tim is a amazing comic book artist and writer, and you can currently catch him writing, Conan. While I was in his class, he was actually working on a brand new, Grimjack, comic. I believe it was called "Grimjack: Killer Instinct". I read each book, and I enjoyed them so much I decided to do my own version of Grimjack. I decided to do it in a Tim Bradstreet style, who actually inked some of Truman's stuff back in the day. I thought it came out pretty cool.
Keep checking in! Enjoy.

Pirates of Dark Water.

I'm a huge fan of the old '80's Hanna-Barbara series, Pirates of Dark Water. For those who don't know about the series, it's about a crew of misfit pirates that are in search for the Thirteen Treasures of Rule. Whoever can gather the Thirteen Teasures can rid the planet of the evil Dark Water that threatens the alien world of Mer. Sounds amazing, I know. Unfortunately, the show only lasted one season, and they only reached the Eighth treasure. After seeing the Pirates of the Caribbean films, I'm hoping the Pirates of Dark Water will be made into a major motion picture. I've done some illustration work and some story ideas for the end of the series. I would love to get a crack at finishing the series. I can dream, can't I? Anyway, I did this drawing at a Macaroni Grille. I liked it so much, I took it with me, and finished it.
Later, Geetaten Monkey Birds!

Here's Jack!

My favorite pastel piece...ever! I saw this picture of Jack in a Entertainment Weekly, and thought it would be fun to do, and I think you can tell who it is, immediately. I never thought it would come out so well. This piece of Jack Nicholson is a couple years old, and I still have people commenting on it. Maybe I should try and send a copy to Mr. Nicholson. Enjoy, if you dare.

Black & White Gradient Study.

Here's a Black and White study I did. I really like this piece because of the emotion you can see coming through the boy's face.

Max Rebo & Droopy McCool.

These are two characters from the Max Rebo Band that appeared in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. I did these two designs for an animated short. It was a really great idea, and I'm hoping we'll still be able to do it in the future. I'll try and post some more pieces, when I can find them. May the Force be with you.

Catfish catches a giant, mutated fish!

This is a piece that I did of a man that I used to work with. His name is Catfish. He is quite the character. I can tell you for sure that he is one of a kind. Catfish loves to fish. He likes to go fishing in the Susquehanna River, so I thought I would have him fishing near Three Mile Island. Catfish was lucky enough to catch a mutated fish, or maybe it should be that the mutated fish is going to catch Catfish. Anyway, if you like this, just wait till you see my Christmas Catfish card for this year. Keep checking in.
God Bless.

The Old Carlisle Theatre.

A quick painting I did of the old theatre in town. It's not my greatest painting but I think I like it because my grandparents would tell me stories about how they would go to this theatre on the weekends. If you ever want to go see a cheap movie, the old Carlisle Theatre is the place to go.
God Bless.
